Standard consultation and treatment sessions are 45 minutes and fees for these services vary ($210 or $300) based on the clinician’s license level. Initial consultations with one of the directors/practice owners are $400. For follow-up appointments, depending on the patient’s treatment needs, we also offer extended (60-minutes) and double (90-minutes) sessions, which are billed at a prorated rate based on our standard 45-minute appointment fee. All applicable fees must be paid at the time of service. Please contact the office for information on fees for legal/divorce related cases. As a courtesy we will file for most PPO insurances and the insurance will process and send payment directly to the policyholder. We do not file for HMO or Medicare/Medicaid policies. We can also provide you with a detailed statement that you can submit directly to your insurance company. The policyholder/responsible party is responsible for obtaining any authorizations/certifications required prior to services, as well as for follow-up on any outstanding claims.
Please note that PPA is an out-of-network provider with all insurance plans. If you prefer to use your health insurance, we would advise you to contact your insurance company for a list of in-network providers. PPA does not accept insurance assignment, which means fees are not collected from insurance companies, rather they are paid directly by the responsible party. If you choose to submit to your insurance company the services you receive from PPA, your insurance may not cover some or all of the services. This notice is in accordance with the No Surprises Billing Act, which went into effect January 1, 2022. Please click here for further information.
Please refer to our Testing/Assessment/Evaluation section and Social Skills Program for fees. We will provide a detailed invoice once the testing or group services are completed and payment has been received so that you can submit any claims for these services directly to your insurance. It is advisable for you to contact your insurance company directly to obtain a detailed explanation of your benefits and procedures for submitting claims related to group therapy or evaluations, including any authorizations required prior to testing. Please note there are additional fees for services not covered by insurance companies such as extended phone calls exceeding 10 minutes, Telehealth sessions, lengthy emails, review of medical records, preparation of letters, and in legal cases, preparation and travel. Payment is due at the time services are rendered, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. For your convenience, we accept checks, cash, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
If you have any questions about fees or to make an appointment, please contact one of our offices and we will be happy to assist you.
