Dr. Naomi Tarlow
Dr. Naomi Tarlow is a licensed psychologist and provides evidence-based interventions to children, adolescents, and adults, as well as group therapy. Her clinical interests and expertise include disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, and eating disorders. Dr. Tarlow places an emphasis on providing a non-judgmental environment, an individualized approach, and collaboration with family members and other treatment providers. She has received specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and provides other evidence-based interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE). She enjoys being involved in clinical research and has published in the areas of borderline personality disorder, posttraumatic stress, and peer relationships.
Dr. Tarlow earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology (specialization in Children and Families) from the University of Miami. During her graduate training, she provided therapy and assessment services in a variety of settings, including the Mailman Center for Child Development and the Oliver-Pyatt Centers. Dr. Tarlow completed her doctoral internship at the Faulk Center for Counseling and her postdoctoral residency at the Institute for Life Renovation, an intensive outpatient program, and its sister private practice, the Motivational Institute for Behavioral Health. Prior to entering graduate school, Dr. Tarlow earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and conducted clinical research at the New York State Psychiatric Institute—Columbia University Medical School and McLean Hospital—Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Tarlow provides in-person and telehealth services out of our Aventura, Miami Beach, and Weston locations.
